Origins
India Ministries Fellowship began in Aberdeen in 1984 when a
group of divinity students wanted to be involved practically
in world mission. They were stimulated by Siga and Nalini Aries
from India, who shared their burden for the millions of Indian
children who live their lives without love, without hope and
without God. |
A trust was
formed and friends enlisted to support the venture. Since then nearly
300 children have received Christian love and practical training.
IMF in Scotland
works closely with IMF India to plan and develop the work, and we
depend largely on the support of Christian friends who share our
vision. We want to train Indian youngsters so that they are able
to fulfill their potential and contribute to the development of
their own society.
Basis
The basis of our ministry is the love of the Lord Jesus Christ for
lost mankind. As we have come to know God’s undeserved favour through
the cross of Calvary, we are bound to spread the good news of his
salvation to all mankind. Some of the children have become Christians
and one is now engaged in missionary work in India.
