Here goes. Hi everyone. I'm writing this from Nashville
USA. The trip has been going well. I started off in West Point
military academy near New York, then played in Church of the
Saviour in Philadelphia, and return to Philly on Saturday
for more engagements before flying home on Monday.
Everything doesn't always go smoothly, but I believe God
has a purpose in mind! Let me tell you about a meeting I had
yesterday. I was due to meet a pastor called Scotty Smith
at 3. Just for half an hour or so to get aquainted.
"Let's get a cup of coffee'' said Pastor Smith . The
coffee machine was broken. We fiddle around for 15 minutes
laughing about how here he is, senior pastor of a huge church
and we can't get a cup of coffee. But we had fun and talked
more. ''Let's go out for coffee'' Next stage. We took his
car to the coffee shop. We spent a wonderful hour just talking
and sharing our hearts.
Time to go home. A turn of the key, and the starter motor
of Scotty's car has completely gone. We call the 'Triple A'
rescue service. They'll be here in 15 minutes. Oh well, we
stand in the sun and talk some more. An hour later, no rescue
truck. We call again, and they've messed up and misplaced
the request.
After another half an hour Scotty calls is wife and she rescues
us. So, Scotty and I get nearly four hours together, and I
get to meet his wife too!
We'll always remember our first meeting.
You'll see by the opening page on the site that 'Non Stop
' is here. I think it's going to be a winner. Let me know
what you think!
Best wishes, Ian White.
