Hi everyone, and Happy New Year!
The new album is now out, and initial
reaction has been good. Move that
Foot, the title track, is a new song of
Ian's that has been going down really
well in live concerts. It's about not
just' hearing' from God, but actually
putting some obedience into
practice--moving that foot!! Of the
eleven tracks, seven are written by Ian,
and four are by other writers.
All four are songs that have really ministered to Ian himself, and have
also been well received when Ian has
sung them live. All you Are is by Scot
writer David Lyon, Infinity is by
Irishman Gareth Davies-Jones [ yes I
know the name is Welsh, but he's Irish,
honest!], Something New is by
Englishman Chris Eaton, and Rusty Nail
is by New Zealander Derek Lind. Is there
a joke in there about the Scotsman, the
Irishman, the Englishman and the Kiwi?
The
album originally was supposed to have
been recorded in Nashville, USA, but
plans had to change at the very last
moment, and recording has actually
happened in England.
You’ll see from the diary page that
January and February are fairly quiet,
with just a few concerts. My plan is to
do more concerts in the UK as the year
progresses, featuring a fair bit of
material from the new album, so please
get in touch if you could consider
having me to your area. High Voltage
are busy rehearsing some new material,
and we are all looking forward to seeing
what this year will bring.
Thanks again for logging on!
Ian.
