Dear Friends,
I'm just adding this little bit on to the news page to encourage you to have a look at the India Ministries Fellowship page straightaway. We've just had urgent word from India about the health of our founder, Dr Arles, and we've said that we would make the situation known as well as we can. Over on the IMF page you'll find some newly received letters from India, which give a great overview of the situation. Please help us if you can! Coming up soon in the online 'store' will be a box you can tick to send a small donation to IMF by credit card. I'm starting off with a fixed amount of £5 , which is around 7.50 American, 10 Canadian, or 13 Australian dollars. As with CD purchase, no matter what your local currency is, the internet bank services convert the amount automatically , so that you are simply debited the equivalent of the Sterling figure. You'll be sent an e-mail thanking you for your donation.

Our own news is that we're all enjoying a very relaxing summer and are fit and well. Taylor starts primary 4 and Harrison primary 2 on August 14th, and off we go for another busy year of music making! We can't believe it's year 16.
You'll see from the diary page that Ian starts recording again when the kids go back to school. He has two relatively small projects to do. One is a CD single for CSW, to be sold as a fund raiser for their work in Russia, and the other is to record four new worship songs written this year, two of them during the holiday period. One of the songs, ' We're going to win this thing',
has been absolutely taking off whenever Ian has sung it. We think we have a winner on our hands!
We've come up with what we hope will be a popular new CD concept. We're calling it a 4+4, and the Cd will have the four new songs, plus four backing tracks. We hope to have it available by the end of September.
The next few paragraphs have been up on the site for a few weeks, but I'm leaving them on, because they still refer to our big
Half-night of Praise, in Ayrshire on August 25th.

Thanks again! Ian.

Hi everyone, and welcome to Northern Hemisphere summer! After a busy tour in Northern Ireland, I'm now home, and looking forward to some decent family time with Carol and the boys.
Let me tell you about my 'Summer Season' of concerts in Ayrshire!
The background is that last year I was involved in putting together a music festival in the Magnum leisure centre in Irvine, Ayrshire, called Magnum 2000. We [ namely the Signposts Promotions Trust ] put on a busy programme, with Steve Green from the USA, girl band Shine, Dave Bilborough, plus Scottish acts Nervous Passenger and me!
! The event was very well received, but we had budgeted for around 700 people coming to each concert, but only 300-400 came.
Consequently, the Signposts Trust has to find nearly 10,000 to clear the debt left by the event. Here's the idea I've come up with!

On Saturday August 25th, in a venue called Braemoor Holiday Village near Kilwinning in Ayrshire, we're going to hold a 7-hour half-night of praise music, hosted by me, but with several guests participating. We're asking folks, mainly in Ayrshire, but from anywhere if they're willing, to donate a little to the cause by sponsoring the praise evening for an amount per hour. For example 20p an hour, or £1.40 total. Leading up to the 'big night 'on August 25th, Braemoor are also going to host a series of 6 concert evenings, as part of an entertainment programme for their holiday visitors, on Saturdays throughout the summer, and on each of these evenings, sponsorship forms for the 25th will be available, and the campaign given a good plug!

I'm singing at these events on July 14th, 28th, August 4th, and 11th. On July 21st and August 18th a local praise band will take the event. To check for details on how to get to Braemoor, etc, contact them on braemoor.holidayvillage@virgin.net

Judging from the response we've had, folks in Ayrshire would love to see the 'Magnum' festival become a regular event, and I'm sure with a small amount given by a lot of people we'll manage to clear last year's debt. Even if you live many miles from Ayrshire, but feel you'd like to contribute, you can send a donation to ; Signposts, 3, McKellar Avenue, Ardossan, KA22 7AS, Scotland, UK.

So, have a great summer, and perhaps I'll see you at Braemoor!

Ian White.
